Hydrafacial

The treatment is soothing, moisturizing, non-invasive and generally non-irritating. As with most procedures, visible results from HydraFacial will vary from person to person.

Who is not a candidate?
Anyone who
is having an active infection
has cystic acne that is raw and inflammed
has autoimmune disease during an active cycle
has a sunburn, eczema, or a rash
What precautions do I need to know?
If you have melanoma or lesions suspected of malignancy your treatment may be modified to avoid these areas or delayed until further evaluation can be done by a dermatologist.
If you are on accutane or other acne medicaitons you must be off those medications for 6 months prior to receiving a Hydrafacial; work with your provider on this.
If you have an infection or autoimmune disease you should not have the facia lymphatic therapy.
If you take an anticoagulant or have thin skin your practitioner will make adjustments to help reduce the chance of petechia.
If you have a shellfish or aspirin allergy a patch test should be performed to ensure you are not allergic to any of the products.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should first consult with your provider as there have been no studies done with Hydrafcaials and pregnant or breastfeeding women.
If you have had any other aesthetic treatments your Hydrafcial must be delayed a minimum of 5 days depending on what you had done. Your practitioner will review your paperwork to ensure you have met the recommended wait time.

What to expect during and immediately after treatment
You may experience temporary irritation, tightness or redness. These are normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity.
You may experience tingling and slight stinging during the treatment area. These sensations generally subside within 3 hours of treatment.
You may experience a delayed onset of the previously mentioned symptoms as every patient experience varies. Contact us immediately if any unsual side effects occur or if symptoms worsen over time.
You will likely see results imediately after treatment and your skin will feel smooth and hydrated for 1-4 weeks.
The treatment area is more susceptible to sunburn, sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Avoid direct sun exposure and use a minimum of SPF 40 sunscreen.
Aggressive exfoliation, waxing and products containing acids should be avoided in the area treated for a minimum of 2 weeks pre- and post-treatment.
Avoid the use of Retin-A type products pre- and post-treamtent.
